A big part of your Calgary residential painting project is painting your walls, doors, & trim.

There’s both an art and science to this kind of painting. You need to ensure you’re using the right product for the job and that it is applied beautifully.

We are passionate about achieving the best finish possible when painting walls (or anything else). You can trust that we’ll smooth everything out and fill in every minor discrepancy. When we’re done, you’ll have velvety walls you can enjoy for years to come.

We Take Residential interior Painting Seriously

We’re pretty fun people, but we take interior painting seriously. Whether it’s your living room, dining room, kitchen, or bedrooms, our goal is to give you a residential painting job you can’t find fault with.

But we understand that paint looks different in different lighting conditions. That’s why we hand you the green tape and ask you to go crazy with it.

That’s right. After we leave, look at your painted walls, doors, and trim at various times of day. If there is anything that bothers you, mark it with the green tape. We’ll return and touch up every single spot until you’re smiling.

Quality Interior Painting Products

At A Burst of Colour, we combine years of experience with the very best painting products to help you transform the look and feel of your home. For walls, we only use premium Benjamin Moore paints. Although we’ve worked with many other interior paints over the years, we haven’t found anything better than Benjamin Moore Regal and Benjamin Moore Aura for walls.

For doors and trim, we’ll give you a couple of samples in the colour of your choice. We like to use Benjamin Moore Advance, an oil latex emulsion, or Sherwin Williams Kem Aqua, a water-based lacquer.

Kem Aqua is a little more durable but Advance is easier for the homeowner to touch up, and has a slightly more luxurious finish. We’ll go over the pros and cons of each when we talk about your doors and trim.

Prepping for residentialinterior Painting

Your home and furnishings are important. That’s why we put a lot of effort into our prep work.

We move all the furniture for you and then use paper and plastic to protect flooring, countertops, etc. By “bagging off” the rooms we’re working in, we minimize dust and its potential impact on you and your family.
